When you create a Brinley Atlas account, we collect:

  • Password (encrypted and never stored in plain text)

2.2 Connected Platform Data

When you connect third-party platforms to Brinley Atlas, we collect and store:

  • Bluesky: OAuth access tokens, posts, engagement metrics (likes, reposts, replies), follower counts
  • Pinterest: OAuth access tokens, pins, board information, engagement metrics (saves, clicks), audience demographics
  • Substack: OAuth access tokens, published posts, subscriber counts, email open rates, engagement metrics

Important: All OAuth tokens are encrypted using industry-standard encryption and stored securely in our database. We never share your tokens with third parties.

2.3 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information about how you use Brinley Atlas:

  • Compass Check tags you create and assign
  • Analytics views and reports generated
  • Feature usage patterns
  • Login history and session duration
  • Browser type, device information, IP address

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

  • Provide and improve Brinley Atlas analytics services
  • Sync and analyze your content from connected platforms
  • Generate pattern reports and insights based on your Compass Check tags
  • Send you important account and service updates (transactional emails only)
  • Provide customer support
  • Ensure platform security and prevent fraud
  • Comply with legal obligations

We will never:

  • Sell your data to third parties
  • Use your content for AI training without explicit consent

4.1 Where We Store Data

Your data is stored using Supabase, a secure PostgreSQL database provider with data centers in the United States. Our web application is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure.

  • End-to-end encryption for all OAuth tokens
  • HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data transmission
  • Secure authentication via Supabase Auth
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Access controls and monitoring

5. Third-Party Services

We only share data with these services as necessary to provide Brinley Atlas functionality.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

  • All personal information is permanently deleted within 30 days
  • OAuth tokens are immediately revoked and deleted
  • Synced platform data is removed from our systems
  • Anonymized analytics (without personally identifiable information) may be retained for service improvement

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your data
  • Correction: Update or correct your information
  • Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data
  • Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format
